Discount cards are a great way to earn money for your school organization or other type of organization that needs money, because there is not a lot of overhead, and almost all profits from the cards themselves go to your group. This is because the companies that pay to be included on the card are trying to drum up business, and the the company that prints the cards only needs to have you pay for the printing of the card. All of the other profits go towards your group and allow you to purchase necessary supplies for the coming year. Here are some tips for advertising your discount cards for your next fundraiser.

1. Door-to-Door Marketing

The first thing that you are going to want to do is organize a set of door-to-door teams that are able to walk all over your city and make sure that everyone at least knows about the card. The reason why door-to-door marketing is so effective for a discount card fundraiser is because the people who are selling the discount cards can talk specifically about the companies or discounts on the card that they use the most.

For example, one person who is doing the marketing walk can specifically point out the pizza place that is right next to his or her house and discuss how the 20% off any order from the discount card has saved him or her money that year. People like to hear positive reviews from other people, and they like when the reviews mention actual numbers with regards to savings. Discount cards are extremely easy to do this with.

2. Community Marketing

The next marketing step that you are going to want to consider for your advertising campaign is to find out all of the community meetings in the area. These could be PTA meetings, church group meetings, city council meetings, or simply club meetings. Anything that brings people together in your city is an opportunity to push your discount cards. This is especially effective if you are doing a school fundraiser with discount cards, because you can have the children that the fundraiser is helping speak. Just talk to the organizer of the meeting and get permission to say something before or after the meeting.

To find an abundance of community meetings that are not official, go on a website that helps people that have similar hobbies and interests meet and enjoy those interests together, even if they didn't know each other originally.
